The Best Value Premier League Tips – 17th June 2020

The Premier League makes its long-awaited return on Wednesday with Aston Villa vs Sheffield United followed by Manchester City vs Arsenal.

Here’s my look at a couple of the most eye-catching odds available:

Aston Villa vs Sheffield United

Under 2.5 Goals – 10/11 with bet365

Sheffield United currently have the second best defensive record in the league. They’ve limited their opponents to just 25 goals in 28 league games so far.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa have managed to score a respectable, yet uninspiring 34 goals, barely more than one a game. Wesley’s continued absence heaps the pressure on new signing Mbwana Samatta, who has only netted one Premier League goal to date.

11 of the Blades’ last 12 fixtures have ended with under 2.5 goals, including their reverse fixture with Villa. Another low scoring affair looks on the cards and offers good value here.

Manchester City vs Arsenal

Kevin De Bruyne to Score Anytime – 15/8 with Ladbrokes

De Bruyne is better known for his assists than his goals but looks like a favourable pick ahead of City’s clash with Arsenal. The Belgian put in a dominant performance in the reverse fixture, helping Guardiola’s side to a deserved 3-0 win. Arsenal’s midfield were unable to handle De Bruyne’s movement on the edge of the box, allowing him to score a brace.

The Gunners have improved under Arteta but are still vulnerable in central midfield. If De Bruyne is given anywhere near the same amount of space he was afforded at The Emirates, he stands a good chance of finding the back of the net once more.

All odds accurate as of 16/06/2020.
