It’s been a very solid start with five correct tips from six so far. The second set of full fixtures after the restart brings with it yet more value.
Here’s my pick of the best value Premier League tips for Matchday 31:
Tottenham vs West Ham
Tottenham to Win – 4/6 with bet365
We kick things off with Tottenham who kept their Champions League hopes alive with a point against Manchester United. Spurs weren’t at their best but did show flashes of quality that ultimately saw them collect a hard-earned point.
West Ham hardly threatened against Wolves and may well be without Sebastian Haller once again. There record against the top eight is very poor this season and if Michael Antonio has to shoulder all the attacking responsibility, there only looks like one winner.
Manchester United vs Sheffield United
Manchester United to Win to Nil – 11/10 with Ladbrokes
Sheffield United have had an incredible season built on defensive solidity but they face an uphill task on Wednesday. John Egan’s suspension and Jack O’Connell’s ongoing injury means that Chris Basham is the only regular centre-back available.
The Blades will also be without arguably their best performer in Dean Henderson, as the on-loan keeper is ineligible. Manchester United scored three in the reverse fixture and will be confident of finding the net against a depleted Sheffield United once again.
In addition, Solskjaer’s side have kept four shut outs in their last six and face a side ranked 15th for goals scored. 11/10 looks like great value.
Newcastle vs Aston Villa
Under 2.5 Goals – 13/16 with Vbet
Last week’s tip of under 1.5 goals was going to plan as we reached the hour mark in Newcastle’s weekend game, before a red card for Sheffield United tipped the balance.
It’s a more cautious tip this time around with Aston Villa not exactly renowned for defensive rigidity. Nevertheless, a high-scoring game seems unlikely with neither side smashing them in this season.
If the first set of fixtures (pre-Egan red card) are anything to go by, we shouldn’t see too much goalmouth action for either side.
Norwich vs Everton
Everton to Win – 19/20 with Coral
Everton fans should be pretty pleased with a goalless draw from the latest Merseyside derby. Ancelotti has tasted defeat just three times in the league since taking charge, all of which have come against top-half sides.
Norwich, meanwhile, are six points adrift and looking certain to go down. The Canaries have scored just one goal in their last six Premier League games.
Daniel Farke’s side have won just five games, one of which was the reverse fixture against Everton in November. A repeat will surely not take place on Wednesday.
All odds accurate as of 22/06/2020.
